Chapter 5

"So Marcia, I was thinking tonight I could take you to this really nice restaurant down the coast, what do you think?" Tom asked Marcia.  Marcia was lost in her thoughts: she was thinking about how it had been almost three months since Marcia and Peter had cheated together, but the guilt had disappeared from Marcia.

"Marcia?' Tom asked as he widened his eyes.

"You know, I'm not really a date kind of person..."

"How about we stay in and do this?" Marcia said as she wrapped her arms around Tom, her lips barely an inch away from his.

Tom pushed her off, as he stood up.
"I've been trying to get you to go on a date with me for three months!  I don't think this will work, Marcia.  We share different perspectives on what a relationship is."

It was a shame, Tom was really starting to like Marcia.

Meanwhile, Kate moaned.  He stomach had been acting up a lot recently.

She raced to the bathroom, but Marcia was inside.
Because Marcia was feeling the same way.

Peter came in to see Kate.  He had been feeling so guilty lately, he new he had to tell her.  Plus, he thought the flame in their relationship had dried out.
"Soo, I see you finished your painting?" Peter stated awkwardly.

"Yeah, isn't it great!  I love how it turned out.  The col- blah blah blah..." Was all Peter heard.  He couldn't of cared less.

Peter looked away as he decided he couldn't break her little red-headed heart.

Meanwhile, Marcia noticed her maid's uniform wasn't really fitting anymore.  He stomach was starting to bulge.  She knew she was pregnant.

Meanwhile, Bill was in a coma, laying in a hospital bed, still in his clothes from the day he passed out.

Kate was busy watching him carefully.  She had been nervous about Bill and came to visit him.
Bill finally woke up after 3 months.
"Oh my goodness, you're awake!" Kate cheered.
"What happened?" Bill asked in a daze.
Kate prepared herself to put this positively:
"Well, you had a drug overdose, and you passed out on the couch.  As soon as I found you I called the ambuelence and you were taking to the hospital and they think you have a chance of getting cancer."
Bill was in shock.
"Everyone must hate me..." Was all he could say.
"That's not true!  Look at all the flowers your friends sent you, even your coach."
Bill smiled for the first time since Dianne died, only because of the way Kate made him feel.
"You said you had something to tell me?" Peter asked Marcia.
"You're going to be a father," Marcia whispered.

"No way, that's not mine.  It must be Tom's."

"Accept it.  It's yours.  But do not tell anyone it's yours.  I'm going to say its Tom's."

At that time, Tom was on the computer, playing a football game.  (it was the only way he was good at sports.)

Marcia sat down opposite him.
"I'm pregnant." She stated, simply.  She knew her plan was going to work.

Tom hustled over and felt her growing stomach.

"And it's yours, by the way." Marcia wasn't the smartest.
Who else's would it be? Thought Tom.
